Thrills and chills at Corpus Christi haunted houses

Be afraid, very afraid, while also having a great time at any number of haunted houses in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend this October.

Corpus Christi in October scares up fall fun with an impressive — and terrifying — lineup of haunted adventures. You can choose between a haunted boat, an orphanage, a house, a recreation center, and even a kids' party zone! Keep the little ones close at hand when you venture out in Scary City by the Sea this month.

CORPUS CHRISTI SPOOK CENTRAL HAUNTED HOUSE

6145 S. Port Ave.

A local paranormal investigative team, Corpus Christi Spook Central brings its most haunting investigations back to life just in time for Halloween. Proceeds benefit Hearts in the Arts. Cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children. Fast pass costs $20.

HAUNTING ON THE BLUE GHOST

USS Lexington Museum on the Bay

More than 100 monsters lurk through 85 rooms on the two bottom floors of the USS Lexington. Stay close to your tour guide so you don’t get lost in spaces never before opened to the public. Steep ladders, dark corridors, creaky hatchways all throughout the route. Not wheelchair accessible. Ages 10 and up only. General admission is $20. Skip-the-line VIP admission is $30.

Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department holds its annual Haunted House on Swantner Street. The attraction kicks off with an Open House beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, October 11. Free admission with the donation of a new unwrapped toy, otherwise $3 per person. Children age 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
