Free painting event for seniors in Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi residents and guests ages 50 and older are invited to get messy while they paint a masterpiece at the Parks and Recreation Department's Garden Senior Center. Courtesy image

Dress for a mess on Saturday, March 19, at the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department's painting party. Residents and guests ages 50 and older are invited to attend the fun event at the Garden Senior Center, 5325 Greely Drive, from 12:30-2:30 pm.

Register by calling 361-826-2345 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. now until the event. Limited spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This is the first free painting event for seniors sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department. An instructor will lead students in a step-by-step painting process on canvas. No experience is necessary during this relaxing art session.

Refreshments will be served, and participants are asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to the class start.
