Eclectic Corpus Christi Christmas week events

Along with a selection of live entertainment and church services, Christmas week, December 20-26, in the Coastal Bend offers a variety of holiday events for everyone, including dogs and those missing Halloween. Go ice skating, slide down a snowy hill, eat tamales while building a gingerbread house, and dance at a Hogwarts Ball.

COASTAL CHRISTMAS

Back for its second year, Coastal Christmas’ indoor winter wonderland includes ice skating, a life-size snow globe, and tubing down a giant snow slide. Of course, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be on hand with a variety of other holiday characters to share in holiday refreshments and more. Skating and skate rentals, $10; three rides on the snow slide, available December 27-29 only, $5. Coastal Christmas closed on Christmas Day.

Gulf Coast Humane Society Dog Park

The Gulf Coast Humane Society transforms its dog park into a winter wonderland. For a fee of $5 per couple or family, visitors enjoy hot cocoa, music, and dog-friendly Christmas spirit. Proceeds will help defray medical costs for animals at the shelter for 2020.

Discounts available for military and seniors.

H-E-B provides a holiday meal with music, arts and crafts, and kids' activities. Santa comes along with this event to highlight H-E-B’s commitment fo fighting hunger year-round. Held across the state, each events serves about 3,000 pounds of sliced turkey, 2,500 pounds of cornbread dressing, 750 pumpkin pies, 380 gallons of mashed potatoes, and 140 gallons of turkey gravy.

Now in its 15th year, the Christmas Eve Tamale Dinner will once again be serving plates of tamales with rice and beans. Take a guess at the number of cans that make up the Lone Star Christmas tree to win free concert tickets for one year. Free event. First come, first served while it lasts.
