Fiesta de la Flor 2019
Fiesta de la Flor is Corpus Christi’s annual celebration of the life and legacy of Selena Quintanilla-Perez, the Queen of Tejano.
About 70,000 people are expected to attend Fiesta de la Flor April 12-13, 2019 in downtown Corpus Christi.

The fourth annual Fiesta de la Flor is April 13-14, 2018
Selena’s cultural relevance in her hometown of Corpus Christi is enormous. Those who grew up in South Texas listening to her music pass it on to their children. Hit singles like “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” “Como la Flor,” “Amor Prohibido,” and “Dreaming of You” made fans fall in love with the Latina legend, and are still popular today.
Selena broke barriers in the music industry as a Mexican-American woman. She serves as an inspiration to young women everywhere.
Selena was killed in 1995 at the age of 24. More than 50,000 people came to Corpus Christi to attend her memorial service.
Now, over 20 years later, Selena’s life and music still influence young fans, drawing up to 70,000 people from the Coastal Bend and beyond.
The family friendly celebration takes place in the Water's Edge Park along Shoreline Drive in downtown Corpus Christi. Special events and attractions take place at the American Bank Center and the Art Center of Corpus Christi.
Each year, an impressive lineup of award-winning Tejano musicians take the stage for the two-day festival. Visitors can dance their heart out at the silent disco. Artisans from Mexico and Latin America are featured at El Mercado. La Plaza, a food truck park, offers a taste of Latin culture. And a fantastic fireworks display takes place at the end of the night.
