The two community theaters in Corpus Christi are sure to impress. Excellent acting, impressive sets, music and choreography set the stage for an unforgettable experience year-round.

Harbor Playhouse

The historic Harbor Playhouse first opened its doors in 1925. Since then, the playhouse has continued its mission to make theater accessible to everyone. Ticket prices are low, summer camps are held each year for the kids, and auditions and volunteer opportunities are open to the entire community.

Each season features both contemporary and classic musicals and plays. From Shakespeare to the Von Trapp family from Sweeney Todd to Joseph and his colorful coat, the Harbor Playhouse has performed it all.

The theater’s productions are shown year-round at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Prices vary.

Aurora Arts Theatre

Aurora Arts Theatre’s intimate 100-seat auditorium provides performances that delight audiences of all ages with live music, top-notch choreography and impressive acting and dancing.

See performances of classics such as “The Christmas Story” and “Fiddler on the Roof” as well as lesser-known productions such as “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” and “Calendar Girls.”

Port Aransas Community Theater

The Port Aransas Community Theater reopened in 2018 after recovering from damages suffered when Hurricane Harvey hit town August 25, 2017. A membership supported nonprofit, PACT performs plays and musicals, offering parts to community members of all ages.
