Where to Celebrate Christmas in Corpus Christi
Celebrate a Corpus Christi Christmas with the best in Christmas lights, music, theater and church services. From three versions of “The Nutcracker” to Scuba Santa feeding fish at the aquarium, the Coastal Bend enjoys the holidays like nowhere else.
The city’s two vibrant community theaters are staging Broadway versions of the holiday classics “A Christmas Carol” and “A Christmas Story.” The city’s two ballet companies perform their renditions of “The Nutcracker,” while the Moscow Ballet brings its 25th anniversary tour of the 125-year-old classic to the American Bank Center.
We have all the details for the Harbor Lights Festival, an annual holiday party that welcomes Santa Claus to town. After the jolly ol’ elf rides in on his Snowball Express, he lights the downtown Christmas Tree, which, in turn, kicks off the season in style. All downtown festivities are followed by the Harbor Lights Illuminated Boat Parade, a beautiful sight on the waters of Corpus Christi Bay.
You’ll also find information about area celebrations in the nearby towns of Port Aransas and Rockport, both still in recovery mode after taking the brunt of Hurricane Harvey’s Category 4 winds. These resilient, tenacious towns won’t let that stop them from celebrating the holidays as only a seaside community can with Santas in short sleeves and festively festooned boats.
